C o O k I e S
My idea for the book design is still the same with 5 different cookie books placed in the cookie jar. Each book represents something different. The first book consists of the list of ingredients that was used to make the cookies, the directions followed to bake the cookies, and the nutritional information of each cookie. The second book has a word list describing the cookies and a word list about the process of making the cookies. The third book has pictures of when all the ingredients are mixed together till they are cooked and ready to eat. The fourth book has pictures of all the ingredients you need to help the audience understand visually what you need to have to make the cookies. The fifth book is my personal experience and briefly states what I did throughout the process of making the cookies with some photos. For the cookie jar itself I bought a medium size jar and wrote "Cookies" on the front to make it look like an actual cookie jar.

My Experience
For my experience I chose to present to the class when I made cookies. I showed a powerpoint of the process I went through and photos of what the cookies looked like so the audience could have a better understanding. I also brought in the cookies for the class to eat so they could taste how good the cookies were after making them.
My book is made into 5 separate books all of which are different. I designed the cover to look like an actual cookie and placed them into a cookie jar so they look more realistic.

Green House
In class we have been working, critiquing, and going over our new assignments for class. I have completed my process notebook and poster. I completely change what my poster looks like and I am much happier with how it turned out.

Work Day (Treehouse)
In class today we were individually met with our teacher to critique the work we have done so far on our tree houses. I was not able to finish my 3D model because I had changed my mind on the layout. I drew a plan of what the house would look like on the inside and where everything is laid out. It shows a fairly well thought out idea of the house. Besides many minor changes, I have a good idea of how I will lay out my poster and how everything is planned out.

Lecture BDS
In class we had a quest speaker come and talk to us about perspective. He showed many different examples of how to make lines and read them in a perspective way to help people design realistically. It was very interesting and helped me as a design student how to look at things different to better my treehouse.

Treehouses
Today in class we critiqued our sketches of trees and treehouse ideas. I am not sure with what I want my treehouse to look like exactly. The most important aspects that I would like are a deck that is either attached all the way around the house or is separate from the house but still connected somehow. Another quality I want to include is going as "green" as I possibly can while planning out how the treehouse will be made. Everyone else had many different creative ideas that have opened my eyes to new ways I might want to design the house.

Wayfinding Presentations
Our group presentations went very well! I think all of the design students did a nice job with their different wayfinding systems. My group used the wayfinding technique to help students better locate where JayBowl is in the Union. We made different signs placed along the main entrance of the union and down the stairwells. We also came up with the idea to place red triangles along the steps going down the stairs to make it look like a bowling alley and at the end on the wall there would be a sign of where JayBowl is. We thought this was the easiest and most efficient way to locate and possibly even catch peoples attention more to go and bowl there. After testing our results were successful and we found it really did help people have a better idea of where JayBowl is in the Union and to actually go there to bowl.

Group B4 Project
Today all of the design classes got together to present their projects and how they were going to use "wayfinding." Our project is to find the bowling alley in the Kansas Union. It is located on the 1st floor and is not very easy to find. We have come up with a few different ways to make it more visible for people to find it when coming through the main entrance on the 4th floor.
